Racism & Hatred

In addition to the patriarchy, human sex trafficking, and the rape and murder and mistreatment of women and children, which happens to women and children of all colors but especially those who are black and brown, there is no more significant issue that the United States, and the world, faces than racism and hatred and the evil that is committed through it. White people: we have been brainwashed and indoctrinated to hate our black and brown brothers and sisters. Racism is entrenched through generations upon generations of evil beliefs and actions done to black and brown people at the hands of white people. We are indoctrinated to hate them. Any of you who think you are doing "fine" and "aren't racist" are not doing enough. It is not good enough. I call upon all white people to be actively engaged in being anti-racist, i.e. disrupting and standing against and eradicating racial prejudice within ourselves and each other, our historical narratives, and all of our systems (judicial, economic, political, educational, housing, environmental, healthcare, food, land, aid, employment, etc.) Racism exists in all of these places. If you aren't sure how to do this, listen to black and brown people, especially women. Seek them out. Heed their words and their messages and take them to heart. Racism and white supremacy and their effects are far too alive and well in our country and in the world. We must be the change. We must end it. Black and brown people: You have taught me a great deal and I will continue to listen to and learn from and elevate your voices and your experiences so that I and other white people and the world may know and understand and find the will to change ourselves and the world to be a people and a place that honors and reveres you and your cultures and treats you equitably.
